He explained that they would evaluate our property within a few days and if it met their requirements they would make us an “as is ” offer within days. If we agreed they would pay all closing expenses and transfer title within thirty days.
We agreed on a price and just a few weeks later we were signing papers and depositing our equity check. Did we get every last dollar? Maybe not, but if you add up all the money to get the house ready to sell, all the time it takes to do that, all the extra mortgage payments you will make, dealing with buyers, dealing with banks, extra closing costs, sleepless nights, and most of all the $10,000 or more in commission to the agent, I believe we did alright. If we ever need to sell another property we will definitely call Mike first.”
